Through its members and activities, the\u00a0Institute of Masters of Wine<\/b>\u00a0promotes excellence, interaction and learning across all sectors of the global wine community.<\/p>\n
As part of its annual calendar of outreach events, the Institute organises a variety of Workshops and Masterclasses to interested participants. The focus at these events is to introduce both its study programme and its examination by showcasing the MW approach to wine tasting and theory topics in a practical and relevant way.<\/p>\n
The 6th\u00a0consecutive\u00a0Italy \u2018Masterclass\u2019<\/b>\u00a0programme will take place\u00a03-5 March 2017<\/b>. The classes will be led by a number of Masters of Wine, including\u00a0Jane Hunt MW<\/a>,\u00a0Peter McCombie MW\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0Susan Hulme MW<\/a>. The team will explain the MW approach to the examination syllabus with a special focus on the writing and tasting skills required to become a Master of Wine. The classes will include tastings of a substantial number of wines from a wide variety of different regions of the world.<\/p>\n As well as tastings throughout the day, evening dinners are included as part of the programme and these will provide further tasting opportunities led by both MWs and producers.<\/p>\n Masterclass attendees who are eligible to join the MW Study Programme will be given the chance to apply online for the Study Programme in June 2017, at a discounted rate (\u00a3100) from the normal application fee.<\/p>\n Further details\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Venue<\/b>: Donnafugata, Via S.
