Donnafugata presents to the market\u00a0Floramundi 2016<\/a>\u00a0Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG<\/strong>, produced from Nero d\u2019Avola and Frappato grapes.<\/strong> A wine that \u2013 together with Bell\u2019Assai Frappato \u2013 represents the fruit of Donnafugata\u2019s production commitment in\u00a0eastern Sicily.\u00a0<\/strong>A project aimed at producing wines under the prestigious Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG and Frappato di Vittoria DOC, Etna DOC denominations.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe chose to address the productions of the great traditions that eastern Sicily offers \u2013 says\u00a0Antonio Rallo<\/strong>, head of the company together with his sister Jos\u00e9 \u2013 a project that will allow us to propose the excellence of Sicilian wine from different territories. Along with our production activities at\u00a0Contessa Entellina<\/strong>, in the heart of western Sicily, and on the island of\u00a0Pantelleria<\/strong>, with the 2016 harvest we have, in fact, launched the production\u00a0in the\u00a0Vittoria area and on Etna<\/strong>. We are very proud: Floramundi is a successful interpretation of Cerasuolo di Vittoria.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFloramundi<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Jos\u00e9 Rallo<\/strong>\u00a0explains with regard to the name of the wine \u2013 is a fantastic figure of a woman who is giving the gift of wonderful interlacements of flowers and fruits with velvety tones. It is a dialogue between two souls, the elegant and sophisticated one of Floral Liberty, of which Vittoria is rich in testimonies, and the fascinating and suggestive one of the tradition of the Sicilian Puppets. A dialogue between Nero d\u2019Avola and Frappato to listen to with pleasure.\u00a0A refined artistic label<\/strong>\u00a0for a prestigious denomination: Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG\u201d.<\/p>\n

Vittoria is a zone that is highly suitable for winegrowing, located between the Hyblean plateau and the sea in south-east Sicily. Here \u2013 in the territory of Acate \u2013 Donnafugata manages about\u00a018 hectares of vineyards in production<\/strong>with 11 hectares of Nero d\u2019Avola and 7 of Frappato.<\/p>\n

Floramundi is a refined Cerasuolo di Vittoria with a flowery soul. Produced from Nero d\u2019Avola and Frappato grapes, it is a red with intriguing aromatic depth. Fresh and fleshy, it offers an ample and fragrant bouquet with intense notes of pink flowers and red fruit, pleasantly spicy.<\/p>\n

It is a perfect sipping wine! It also pairs with tasty first courses and grilled meat. Ideal with red tuna steak, roasted amberjack and other important fish baked in the oven. Try with gourmet pizzas. It can be uncorked at time of serving and is excellent at 16\u00b0C.<\/p>\n
